Merger Vote

The Boards of Thompson Farmers Co-op Elevator and Valley United Coop will be having informational meetings along with Special stockholder meeting(s) on September 6th. It will be at 6:00 PM at the Thompson Community Center and at 8:00 PM at the KC Hall in Reynolds.

“We must never forget why Valley United & Thompson Farmers Co-op were formed. If we remain focused on our core values and culture of serving our member-owners while embracing innovation and technology, Valley United Co-op will remain our member’s partner in the field for the next 50 years.” – Paul Coppin

Looking into the future we would like to continue to grow our business as a local cooperative and improve our facilities. Our trade area is surrounded by larger competitors thus making it more difficult to increase sales, maintain gross margins, and remain competitive.

Based on the latest full fiscal year, the combined cooperatives’ agronomy, grain, and C-Store business would gross $200 million in sales, with $90 million in total assets. There would be 12 locations and 105 full-time employees.
